Hello world!
Welcome to TheFamilyTimeStore.com Blog!
In line with our banner of “FAMILIES DOING THINGS TOGETHER”, we’d like to hear your ideas about things that you have done, or are doing, as a family — things that have strengthened your family bond and opened the lines of communication between family members.
We’d also love to hear about any products you have used from our website that have supported these family times. [If there are other products you wish we offered on the site please let us know that too.]
We are committed to sharing these ideas so that members of our blog community can learn from each other and can experience family time at its best!
With the warmer weather, how about doing something with the family outdoors — see our products at http://www.thefamilytimestore.com/custom.em?pid=789202

I have fond memories as a child of my father and mother taking my sister and I to the local park for a walk every Sunday afternoon. It was a special time for us all – we walked and talked and soaked up the fresh air and the beauty of nature around us. We came back refreshed and closer to each other each time.

Just heard an interesting item on WVXU’s Front Row -
Jeff Alt walked the Appalachian Trail (over 2100 miles) to raise money for charity; he talked about his book (A Walk for Sunshine) detailing the adventure. He will be signing at Barnes & Noble in Newport,KY, this afternoon. He specifically talked about the value of including his young children in hiking preparation and in hiking itself – even when they are as young as 1-2 years old. I may buy the book…..

Spring…..a time to think about taking your family into the great outdoors. Plan a hike or a camping trip. These definitely bring families closer together.
